Lasershow Designer 2OOO is the state-of-the-art

Used to give a
near-perfect computer representation for both beams
and graphics.
GEOMETRIC CORRECTION
Built in to
LD2000 to correct the scanned image, so the laser
projector does not have to be exactly lined up with
the screen. Parameters include, Size , Position
,Rotation, Linearity, Keystone , Pincushion,
Bow and Shear
PROJECTION ZONES
There are
20 projection zones, The use of projection zones
allows you to concentrate on the show itself and
where various show elements and effects will be
projected,
FONTS
You can type words using
TrueType fonts or "
laser fonts". TrueType fonts come with your Windows
operating system.LD2000 provides 26 different laser
fonts
DMX
The QM2OOO board controls
DMX devices using the 15-pin connector on the board,
plus a special 15-pin-to-DMX cable included with all
LD2OOO systems.
Up to 512 DMX devices can be controlled. Note that
the QM2OOO provides DMX out only. There is no DMX
input -- the LD2OOO system cannot be controlled by
DMX signals.
In the LD2OOO and Showtime programs, DMX devices are
controlled using special "DMX frames". A DMX frame
has all of the characteristics of normal laser
frames (points, colors), but it also contains
additional DMX information. This information is used
by Showtime to control the DMX device's pan, tilt,
gobo, color, brightness, and other characteristics.
Lasershow Designer 2OOO comes with a large number of
pre-defined DMX frames.
COLOR SYSTEM
Three separate color balance selections to choose
from: Fully Balanced, High Saturation and High
Power.
The Fully Balanced selection is designed to
provide perfect color rendition, especially for
raster frames.
The High Saturation selection is designed to
provide fully saturated red, green and blue colors
and is especially well suited for vector frames or
audience scanning effects.
The High Power selection is designed to
provide the laser’s full power, at the possible
expense of color balance. This is especially suited
for raw beams and beam effects where you want to
ensure that the laser’s full power will be used.
ADVANCED FRAME PROPERTIES
In LD2OOO, frames can be of several types including
Point-oriented, Vector-oriented, Raster, Abstract
and DMX.
CLIPART CATEGORIES
Clipart categories system. You can use this along with
the Clipart Search Engine to further aid in quickly
finding and identifying frames.
SECURITY
Secure individual frames or blocks of frames, to
control distribution of these frames amongst
authorized users of your choosing.
RASTER FRAME IMPROVEMENTS
As you adjust the various raster parameters, you
will immediately see the results on the computer
screen and also on the laser if the 'Show output on
laser' checkbox is checked.
'Output Size' adjustment. affects the entire
frame as it will be created in the frame list.
CLIPART SEARCH ENGINE
Clipart Search Engine
Search for frames with a particular clipart
category.
DRAWING WINDOW IMPROVEMENTS
LD2000 Pro users can change the 3D angle by simply
clicking and dragging the mouse in the drawing
window. Note that 3D view must be selected in order
for this to work.

The
LD2OOO system is powered by the all-new
QM2OOO board.
It is this board which makes available the new hardware and
software capabilities. (In fact, you must
have the board installed, in order to operate the software.
LD2OOO's advanced features depend on the QM2OOO's power.)

This half-sized board fits in the PCI slot available on
almost any modern computer or notebook docking station.
It's easier to find computers with PCI-bus slots, and
the PCI bus has faster data transfer (shows load five
times faster, compared with the older ISA-based QM32
board).

The QM2OOO has about ten times the processing power of
the older QM32. This lets the board run faster and
allows Pangolin to add new software features.

You can get point output rates up to 130,000 pts/sec.
Such fast rates are necessary for photo realistic
TV-like raster frames.

Frames can be up to 6,000 points in length. This is
ideal for faster 50K+ scanners, that can show more
points without flicker.

Software geometric correction is built in, so you can
get perfectly square images on the laser screen, even if
you are projecting off-center (or even if the "screen"
is round like a planetarium dome).
