And what a sound system it is! The place was just pumping on Friday with
a crowd of about thousand people passing thru the gates. Since Amnesia
is the name of one of Ibiza’s largest Clubs it was appropriate that
Sarah – born and bred in Ibiza – should run the decks on the prime time
set of two to four and she didn’t let the team down. She played some
great Funky House – typical of that Ibiza Sound – that had everyone up
and dancing.
But with that sound system, which
pounds out all over, upstairs, downstairs – there’s no escaping it – she
was blowing the place away. Also, they’ve got it all. The lasers, the
snow machine, the mega strobe. If people are really looking for serious
clubbing, they have got it covered.
Amnesia is sure to make a huge mark
on the clubbing scene in Bali and for two simple reasons – they have got
the goods and they know how to promote it. DJs from all over Indonesia
and the world are being lined up right now to bring the house down in
the very near future.
And just on a short aside, we’ll be holding the Beat Rock Fest again, as
of next month, at Amnesia with local original rockers Postmen, Navicula,
Superman et al with aid from some of Jakarta and Bandung’s finest new
bands coming down to Bali to show off their stuff. Oh yeah, The Rock
Fest’s always been pretty big but from now at Amnesia and with that
sound system, it’s gonna be huge! SS.
